Cheese Curds

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese Curds

In a bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmigiano Reggiano.

  2. 2

    Coat the Cheese Curds

Take each cheese curd, dip it into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Place the coated cheese curds on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  4. 4

    Fry the Cheese Curds

Carefully add the coated cheese curds to the hot oil in small batches. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the fried cheese curds hot with arrabbiata sauce on the side for dipping.
