Make the Russian Dressing
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, dill pickle relish, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Assemble the Sandwich
Lay out two slices of marbled rye bread. Spread a generous amount of the house-made Russian dressing on each slice.

Layer the Ingredients
Add a layer of pastrami on one slice, followed by a layer of sauerkraut, and then top with Swiss cheese. Place the second slice of bread on top, dressing side down.

Serve
Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from the heat. Cut in half and serve with extra Russian dressing on the side.
