Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

In a large bowl, combine shrimp, scallops, and calamari. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

Slice the bell pepper, zucchini, and carrot. Cut the broccoli into small florets and mince the garlic.

  3. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of black pepper and salt. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Sauté the Garlic and Vegetables

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add bell pepper, zucchini, carrot, and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  2. 5

    Add the Seafood

Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the seafood mixture to the other side. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and the scallops and calamari are cooked through.

  3. 6

    Combine and Add Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the seafood and vegetables. Stir everything together until well coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
