Slice the Flank Steak
Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain into bite-sized pieces.

Marinate the Steak
In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Add the sliced flank steak and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Aromatics
Mince the garlic cloves and ginger, and chop the green onions, separating the white parts from the green parts.

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, ginger, and the white parts of the green onions. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
