Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix crust ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are well coated.

  3. 3

    Form the crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

  4. 4

    Bake the crust

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until set and slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add sugar and sour cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing well until fully incorporated.

  3. 7

    Incorporate eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. 8

    Add vanilla and flour

Stir in the vanilla extract and all-purpose flour until just combined. Ensure there are no lumps.

  5. 9

    Pour filling over crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

Baking the Cheesecake

  1. 10

    Bake the cheesecake

Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.

  2. 11

    Cool the cheesecake

Turn off the oven and crack the door open. Allow the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour to prevent cracking.

  3. 12

    Chill the cheesecake

Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
