Method
Crust Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Press the Crust
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool.
Filling Preparation
- 3
Beat the Cream Cheese
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Add Sugar and Sour Cream
Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing until fully incorporated.
- 5
Add Vanilla and Eggs
Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined.
- 6
Add Flour
Sprinkle in the all-purpose flour and mix on low speed until just blended. Do not overmix.
- 7
Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking the Cheesecake
- 8
Bake
Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Remove from oven.
- 9
Cool and Chill
Let the cheesecake cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
Topping (Optional)
- 10
Prepare Topping
If desired, top the chilled cheesecake with sliced strawberries and drizzle with strawberry glaze before serving.
