Slice the Beef
Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain into bite-sized pieces.

Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Add the sliced beef and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Broccoli
Wash and cut the broccoli into florets. Steam or blanch for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Set aside.

Cook the Beef
In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Combine Ingredients
Return the beef to the skillet along with the broccoli. Stir to coat everything in the sauce and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.

Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the beef and broccoli. Serve hot over rice or noodles, if desired.
