Pasta Preparation

Preheat Oven
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Meat Sauce Preparation

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cheese Mixture Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Assembling the Lasagna

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.

Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce.

Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.

Add a layer of meat sauce over the ricotta.

Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Repeat the layers: noodles, ricotta, meat sauce, and mozzarella, ending with a final layer of noodles and meat sauce on top.

Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Baking

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
