Prepare the Ingredients
Start by washing the fresh tomatoes and basil leaves thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Slice the Mozzarella
Cut the fresh mozzarella into thick slices, about ½ inch each.

Cut the Tomatoes
Slice the fresh tomatoes into thick rounds, similar in thickness to the mozzarella.

Pit and Slice the Olives
If necessary, pit the kalamata olives and slice them in half or leave them whole, based on your preference.
Assembly

Layer the Ingredients
On a serving platter, alternate layers of sliced mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. Place the kalamata olives in between the layers.

Add Fresh Basil
Tear the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them generously over the arranged mozzarella and tomatoes.

Drizzle with Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar
Finally, drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the entire arrangement to enhance the flavors.
