Method
Ravioli Filling Preparation
- 1
Mix Filling Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
Ravioli Dough Preparation
- 2
Prepare Dough
In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, eggs, water, and salt. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Assembling Ravioli
- 3
Roll Out Dough
After resting, divide the dough into four pieces. Roll out each piece with a pasta machine or rolling pin to about 1/16 inch thickness.
- 4
Fill Ravioli
Place a teaspoon of filling on one sheet of rolled dough, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Brush the edges with water, then place another sheet of dough on top, pressing down to seal. Cut into individual ravioli using a knife or pasta cutter.
Breading Preparation
- 5
Prepare Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs mixed with salt and black pepper.
- 6
Bread Ravioli
Dip each ravioli first in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumbs. Set aside on a baking sheet.
Frying
- 7
Heat Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry Ravioli
Fry the breaded ravioli in batches for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
