Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Dough
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into circles using a round cutter or a glass.
- 2
Fill the Puffs
Place a few slices of pepperoni and a tablespoon of mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough circle. Sprinkle a pinch of salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning on top.
- 3
Seal the Puffs
Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal. You can crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch.
- 4
Bake the Puffs
Place the filled puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- 5
Add Garlic Oil and Parmesan
Once baked, remove from the oven and brush the tops with garlic oil. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese while still warm.
- 6
Serve
Serve the Gitto Puffs warm alongside a cup of marinara sauce for dipping.
