Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven or fryer according to the instructions for the French fries. If using frozen fries, spread them evenly on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake or fry until golden and crispy, about 20-25 minutes.

  2. 2

    Form the Burger Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and form each portion into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burgers

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, and sliced tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the burgers hot alongside a generous portion of crispy French fries.
