Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Portobello Caps

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the portobello mushrooms and remove the stems. Place them on a baking sheet, gill side up.

  2. 2

    Make the Crab Imperial Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, garlic powder, and chopped green onions. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Fill the Mushrooms

Spoon the crab mixture evenly into each portobello cap, packing it slightly to create a mound.

  4. 4

    Top with Cheese

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the crab-filled portobello caps.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional green onions if desired.
