Financier Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Butter

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pistachio flour, all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg whites and vanilla extract until combined. Add the melted butter and mix well.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Pan

Grease a financier mold or a standard muffin tin with butter or cooking spray. Fill each mold about 3/4 full with the batter.

  6. 6

    Add Strawberries

Slice the fresh strawberries and place a few slices on top of each financier batter.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Let the financiers cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
