Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Crab Cakes
In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- 2
Form the Cakes
Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cook the Crab Cakes
You can either fry or broil the crab cakes. To fry, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. To broil, place under a broiler for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Assemble the Sandwich
Cut the Kaiser rolls in half. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half, followed by a crab cake, a slice of tomato, and a generous spoonful of basil-caper tartar sauce. Top with the other half of the roll.
