Crab Cakes
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Crab Cake Mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper. Be careful not to break the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form the Cakes
Divide the crab mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
- 3
Chill the Cakes
Cover the patties with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- 4
Cook the Crab Cakes
Heat cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Serve
Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with tartar sauce and remoulade on the side.
