Prepare the Ingredients
Chop the smoked ham, onion, green bell pepper, and tomato into small pieces.

Beat the Eggs
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 4 eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper until well combined and frothy.

Sauté the Vegetables
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil or butter. Once hot, add the chopped onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the chopped tomato and continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Add the Ham
Stir in the chopped smoked ham and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Add Cheese
Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded American cheese evenly over one half of the omelet. Carefully fold the other half over the cheese and let it cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.
Serving

Plate the Omelet
Gently slide the omelet onto a plate. Top with an additional 0.5 cup of shredded American cheese if desired. Serve hot.
