Method
Prepare the Burger Patties
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground sirloin, cajun blackened seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into half-pound patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
Cook the Bacon

Grill the Patties
Preheat a grill or grill pan over high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- 5
Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the blue cheese crumbles on top of each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
Assemble the Burger
- 6
Prepare the Buns
Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
- 7
Layer the Ingredients
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted blue cheese, crispy bacon, and tomato slices. Drizzle hot sauce over the top, if desired.
- 8
Complete the Burger
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
