Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, another with beaten eggs mixed with buttermilk, and the third with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Breading the Chicken
Coat each chicken strip in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the panko breadcrumb mixture. Ensure an even coating on all sides.
Frying the Chicken Tenders
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 6
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauces.
