Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Steaming the Broccoli
- 6
Prepare to Steam
In a pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to taste.
- 7
Steam the Broccoli
Place the broccoli florets in a steamer basket over the boiling water, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green.
Serving
- 8
Plate the Dish
Slice the grilled chicken breast and serve alongside the steamed broccoli. Enjoy your meal!
