Method
Prepare Ground Beef
- 1
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- 2
Add Seasoning
Drain any excess fat from the beef, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until well combined and heated through.
Warm Refried Beans
- 3
Heat the Beans
In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the canned refried beans until heated through, stirring occasionally. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
Assemble Nachos
- 4
Layer Tortilla Chips
On a large baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in a single layer.
- 5
Add Beef and Beans
Evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef and warmed refried beans over the tortilla chips.
- 6
Pour Cheese Sauce
Drizzle the nacho cheese sauce evenly over the chips, beef, and beans.
- 7
Add Fresh Toppings
Sprinkle diced tomatoes, shredded Colby Jack cheese, sliced black olives, and jalapenos over the top.
Bake
- 8
Bake the Nachos
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled nachos in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve
- 9
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Serve warm topped with dollops of sour cream.
