Queso Blanco

Melt the Cheese
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white American cheese and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.

Add Vegetables and Seasoning
Stir in the diced jalapenos, diced red bell pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Fry the Tortilla Chips
Cut each corn tortilla into 6 wedges. Working in batches, fry the tortilla wedges for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Season the Chips
While the chips are still warm, sprinkle them with salt to taste.
Homemade Salsa

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, minced jalapeno, lime juice, chopped fresh cilantro, and salt. Mix well.

Allow the salsa to sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature to let the flavors meld together.
