Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal patties, each about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese melts, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer the lettuce, cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slice, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
