Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Marinate
Drizzle olive oil over the seasoned chicken and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 3
Prepare the Avocado
While the chicken is marinating, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out. Slice it into thin pieces and drizzle with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Cooking
- 4
Grill or Fry the Chicken
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and juices run clear. If using a skillet, you can add a bit more olive oil to prevent sticking.
- 5
Melt the Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast and cover to allow the cheese to melt.
Assembly
- 6
Assemble the Dish
Once the chicken is cooked and cheese is melted, remove from heat. Top each chicken breast with the sliced avocado. Optionally, garnish with fresh cilantro and tomato slices.
