Method

Pancakes Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. The batter may be slightly lumpy.

  4. 4

    Cook Pancakes

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook for another 2 minutes until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare Toppings

While pancakes are cooking, slice the bananas and chop the pecans.

  2. 6

    Serve

Stack the pancakes on a plate. Top with sliced bananas and chopped pecans. Serve warm with syrup if desired.
