Preparation of Base

Juicing the Lemons
Cut the lemons in half and use a juicer to extract the juice. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice.

Making the Sugar Syrup
In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Combining Flavors

Mix the Base
In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice with the cooled sugar syrup. Stir well to mix.

Adding Flavor Enhancers
Chop the fresh ginger finely and add it to the pitcher along with the fresh mint leaves and lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
Serving the Sour Surprise

Chilling
Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to chill. This allows the flavors to meld together.
