Method

Preparing the Sirloin

  1. 1

    Cook the Sirloin

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sliced sirloin with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Making the Onion Rings

  1. 2

    Prepare the Onion Rings

Slice the large onion into thick rings and separate them. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add water to create a batter. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Dip each onion ring into the batter and carefully place it in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Preparing the Dressing

  1. 3

    Make the Parmesan Dressing

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, layer the field greens, followed by the sliced sirloin on top. Add dried cranberries, and top with onion rings. Drizzle the Parmesan dressing over the salad before serving.
