For the Nashville Chicken Sliders
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a large bowl, marinate the boneless chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2
Make the Coating
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and coat each piece with the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Set aside.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Make the Slaw
In a bowl, mix the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, and hot sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 6
Prepare Nashville Sauce
In a small bowl, mix the Nashville hot chicken paste with some of the frying oil to create a sauce.
- 7
Assemble the Sliders
Spread the Nashville sauce on the fried chicken, place it on the slider buns, top with sweet slaw and pickles.
- 8
Serve
Serve the sliders warm and enjoy!
