Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Caramelized Onions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20-25 minutes or until the onions are soft and caramelized. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Warm the Naan

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the garlic butter on both sides of the naan bread. Place it on a baking sheet and warm in the oven for about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

On one piece of naan, layer sliced roast beef, caramelized onions, and shredded Gruyère cheese. Top with another piece of naan.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a small saucepan, heat the beef broth over low heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half and serve with warm au jus on the side for dipping.
