    Prepare the Piperade

    In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and bell peppers, and sauté until soft. Stir in diced tomatoes, and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 15 minutes until the mixture thickens.

    Prepare the Crostini

    Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the slices of bread on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.

    Assemble the Dish

    On a serving platter, place the burrata in the center. Spoon the piperade sauce around it. Drape the speck slices over the burrata and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve with crostini on the side.
