Juice Blend
Method
Juice Blend
Prepare fresh orange juice
If using whole oranges, roll each orange on the counter to loosen juice, cut in half and juice until you have 2.5 cups (about 4–6 medium oranges). Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a measuring cup if you prefer pulp-free juice. Chill briefly if desired.
Measure juices
Measure 1 cup cranberry juice (100% unsweetened or light) and 1 cup pineapple juice. Use chilled bottles or pour directly from the fridge so the blend remains cold.
Combine and balance
In a large pitcher, combine the fresh orange juice, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice. Add 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice if you want extra brightness. Taste the mixture. If it tastes too tart or sharp, stir in up to 1 teaspoon sugar or 1 tablespoon simple syrup, adding gradually until the sweetness is balanced to your liking.
Adjust dilution and chill
Stir in 1/2 cup cold water or sparkling water to adjust intensity and make the blend more refreshing. If you’d like a still juice, use cold water; for a lightly effervescent drink, use sparkling water. Add 1 cup ice cubes to the pitcher to chill and slightly dilute the juice as it sits.
Serve
Pour the juice into serving glasses over additional ice if desired. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint or a thin orange wheel. Serve immediately for best flavor.
Make-ahead and storage
If making ahead, omit the ice and sparkling water; keep the blended juice in a sealed pitcher or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Stir or shake gently before serving and add ice/sparkling water just before pouring.
