Steak Preparation

Prepare the Steak
Take the 6 oz strip steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

Cook the Steak
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time according to your preferred doneness.

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and dice the medium potato into small cubes. Boil in salted water for about 10-12 minutes until tender, then drain.

Sauté the Potatoes
In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter, then add the boiled potato cubes. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Toast the Bread
While the potatoes are cooking, toast the two slices of bread until golden brown.
