Preparing the Batter

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

Combine Dry and Wet Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cooking the Pancakes

Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges appear set, about 2-3 minutes.

Flip and Finish Cooking
Carefully flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.

Serve the pancakes warm with a pat of butter and drizzle with maple syrup to taste.
