For Cooking

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Filling

In a bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, and salt. Mix well until fully combined.

  2. 2

    Fill the Wrappers

Take a wonton wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, and press to seal. Make sure there are no air pockets. Optionally, you can bring the two corners of the triangle together and press to seal for a different shape.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Fry the Wontons

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the wontons and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

  2. 4

    Steam the Wontons

Add water to the skillet and cover immediately. Allow the wontons to steam for about 5 minutes until cooked through.

  3. 5

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve hot with soy sauce and chili oil for dipping.
