Preparation
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the chicken with soy sauce, cornstarch, and beaten egg. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, red chili pepper flakes, and water. Set aside.
Cooking
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Fry the marinated chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Combine with Sauce
Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
