Method

Jalapeno Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapenos

Carefully slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes to reduce heat if desired. Set aside.

Filling

  1. 2

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, sriracha sauce, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined and creamy.

Stuffing

  1. 3

    Stuff the Jalapenos

Using a spoon, fill each jalapeno half with the tuna and cream cheese mixture, pressing down gently to pack the filling.

Breading

  1. 4

    Prepare the Breading Station

Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko bread crumbs. Dip each stuffed jalapeno first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with panko bread crumbs.

Frying

  1. 5

    Fry the Stuffed Jalapenos

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until hot. Carefully place the breaded jalapenos in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Arrange the fried stuffed jalapenos on a serving plate. Drizzle with eel sauce and spicy mayo before serving.
