Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broth

In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in the miso paste until fully dissolved. Adjust seasoning with soy sauce, mirin, salt, and pepper to taste. Let the broth simmer for about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Noodles

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the Sapporo ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions (about 3-5 minutes). Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

While the broth simmers, prepare the toppings. Soft-boil the eggs by placing them in boiling water for 6-7 minutes, then transfer them to ice water to cool. Slice the chashu pork, green onions, and prepare the corn and menma.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Ramen Bowl

In a large bowl, place a serving of cooked noodles at the bottom. Ladle the hot miso broth over the noodles. Artfully arrange the chashu pork, soft-boiled eggs (halved), green onions, corn, menma, and nori sheets on top of the noodles.

  2. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and serve immediately while hot. Enjoy your homemade Sapporo ramen!
