Filling Preparation
- 1
Mix the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended.
Wrapping
- 2
Fill the Wrappers
Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water to help seal. Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a triangle shape, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Frying
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Crab Rangoon
Carefully add a few crab rangoon to the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serving
- 5
Serve
Serve the crab rangoon warm with your choice of dipping sauce, such as sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce.
