Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a crispy texture when frying.
- 2
Cut Vegetables for Garnish
Wash and cut the carrots and celery into sticks. Set aside for garnishing the wings.
Cooking
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large, heavy pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove them and drain on paper towels.
Tossing and Serving
- 5
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce and mix well. Alternatively, mix the barbecue sauce with soy sauce and honey for a different flavor.
- 6
Toss the Wings in Sauce
In a large bowl, add the fried chicken wings and pour your desired sauce over them. Toss well to ensure all wings are evenly coated.
- 7
Serve
Plate the wings and garnish with carrot and celery sticks. Serve hot.
