Burger Patties

Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Form each portion into a ball and smash it down onto the hot surface. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a crust forms, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Toppings

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

While the patties are cooking, in a separate pan, cook the hickory smoked bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Toppings

Once the patties are flipped, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt slightly. Remove the patties from heat.

  3. 5

    Spread Peanut Butter and Jelly

On the bottom half of each pretzel bun, spread 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter and 2 tablespoons of grape jelly.

  4. 6

    Add Smoky Mayo

Spread 2 tablespoons of smoky mayo on the top half of each bun.

  5. 7

    Finish the Burger

Layer the cooked beef patties with cheese on top of the peanut butter and jelly spread. Add two slices of crispy bacon on top of each patty, then place the bun top with smoky mayo over the bacon.
