Ranch Dressing
Method
Cheese Curds Preparation
- 1
- 2
Bread the Cheese Curds
Dip each cheese curd first into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each curd is fully covered.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- 4
Fry the Cheese Curds
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded cheese curds in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Ranch Dressing Preparation
- 5
Mix the Ingredients
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
- 6
Add Fresh Chives
If using, chop fresh chives and mix them into the ranch dressing for added flavor.
- 7
Chill the Dressing
Refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
