Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties that are slightly larger than the burger buns.

  3. 3

    Chill Patties

Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.

Cooking the Burgers

  1. 4

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook Patties

Add the burger patties to the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Prepare the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  2. 8

    Add Condiments and Toppings

Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by a slice of tomato and some onion rings.

  3. 9

    Add the Patty

Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top of the toppings and cover with the top half of the bun.
