Cake Preparation

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsweetened chocolate and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- 2
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, and large egg yolks until the mixture is thick and pale, about 3-4 minutes.

- 4
Add Vanilla and Flour
Stir in the vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, and a pinch of salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 5
- 6
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 2/3 full.
- 7
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are firm but the centers are soft. Keep an eye on them to ensure they don't overbake.
