Prepare the Burger Patties

Mix the Beef
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoky cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to allow the cheese to melt.
Assemble the Burgers

Prepare the Buns
Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Layer the Ingredients
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add a layer of lettuce, followed by a cheesy patty, slices of tomato, red onion, and pickles. Drizzle ketchup on top before placing the top half of the bun.
