Method

Secondi

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rutabaga

Peel and chop the rutabaga into small cubes. Place in a pot of salted water and boil until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Wild Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the wild mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Make the Fonduta

In a saucepan, prepare your fonduta (cheese sauce) by melting your choice of cheese (like Fontina or Gruyère) with a splash of cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rutabaga, sautéed wild mushrooms, and diced quince. Drizzle with apple balsamic vinegar and toss gently to coat.

  5. 5

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, create a bed of the rutabaga and mushroom mixture. Spoon the fonduta over the top, ensuring even coverage.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle the dish with poppy seeds for garnish. Serve warm, and enjoy your toc' in braide!
