Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, and then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness. Remove the steak and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Egg Cooking

  1. 3

    Prepare the Eggs

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Cook the eggs to your liking. For sunny-side up, cook for about 2-3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny. For over-easy, flip the eggs and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Slice the rested steak against the grain and place it on a plate. Top with the cooked eggs. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
