Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all ingredients: sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, Swiss cheese, rye bread, and butter.

Assembling the Sandwich

Butter the Bread
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.

Layer the Ingredients
On the unbuttered side of two slices of rye bread, layer 4 oz of sliced corned beef, ½ cup of sauerkraut, 2 tablespoons of Russian dressing, and 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
Cooking the Sandwich

Flip and Grill
Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
Serving

Slice and Serve
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve hot with extra Russian dressing on the side if desired.
