Preparing the Burger Patties

Mix the Patty Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
Grilling the Onions

Prepare the Onions
Slice the medium onion into thin rings.

Sauté the Onions
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion rings and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
Making the Creole Sauce

Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined. Set aside.

Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.

Build the Burger
Spread a generous amount of Creole sauce on the bottom half of the bun. Place the burger patty with melted cheese on top, followed by the sautéed onions and raw onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
