Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Slice the Vegetables

While the chicken is marinating, slice the green bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms into thin strips.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked and juices run clear. Remove from grill and let rest.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced vegetables and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Slice the grilled chicken into thin strips. Add the chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables and mix well.

  4. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Layer the provolone cheese slices over the chicken and vegetable mixture in the skillet. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Prepare the Hoagie Rolls

Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise but not all the way through to create a pocket.

  2. 8

    Fill the Rolls

Spoon the chicken and cheese mixture into each hoagie roll. Serve hot.
