Shrimp Marinade

Method

Marinating Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, espolette pepper, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss to coat the shrimp thoroughly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Preparing the Sourdough

  1. 3

    Prepare the Bread

While the shrimp is marinating, preheat your wood-fired grill or oven to a high temperature (around 450°F or 232°C). Brush both sides of the sourdough slices with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Cooking the Shrimp and Bread

  1. 4

    Cook the Shrimp

Once the shrimp has marinated for 30 minutes, thread the shrimp onto skewers if using a grill. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

  2. 5

    Toast the Sourdough

At the same time, place the sourdough slices on the grill or in the wood-fired oven. Toast for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Remove the shrimp from the grill and the toasted sourdough from the heat. Serve the grilled shrimp on top of the toasted sourdough bread. Optionally, garnish with additional lemon wedges and fresh herbs.
